Calling All Dragons for the Draper Days Parade

Draper Elementary will have an entry in the Draper Days annual parade on Saturday, July 20, at 9 a.m. Principal Piper Riddle will ride in an antique car with Dewey the Dragon, and Dewey’s cousin from China, DiDi, will also participate. All students, parents, teachers, and alumni are invited to along side the car to hand out candy and pencils.Please wear your Dragon spirit wear or school colors of royal blue, gold or white.

Parade Date/Time: The Draper Days Parade is on Saturday, July 20^th and starts at 9:00 am and ends at about 11:00 a.m.  Parade participants may begin forming after 7:00 a.m. and must be in their position on Stokes Ave. before 8:30. Our forming # is S-36.

Parade Route: The Parade starts at the corner of Stokes Avenue and Fort Street and heads north on Fort Street, continues around Draper Historic Park, and ends at the old City Hall building. Our entry will be forming on Stokes Avenue – look for our sign if you will be walking with us!

What-to-wear: Please wear your Dragon spirit wear or school colors of royal blue, gold or white, comfortable walking shoes, and sunscreen. 

What-to-bring:  Because it’s sure to be hot, please bring a water bottle (everyone) and a water mister/spray bottle (adults) if you have one.
