Join us for the Dragon Dash this Friday

10/07/2013

Our annual fundraiser,  the Dragon Dash fun run, will be held Friday, Oct. 11, at 9 a.m.  Funds raised will pay for PTA programs such as field trips, Art Through the Ages, Dads & Donuts, Reflections, and teacher appreciation.  If the PTA meets its goal it hopes to buy an iPad lab to be used for Reading Street, Envision Math and testing, which will benefit all students at Draper Elementary this year!
Parents are invited to join in the fun run.  Meet your child on the west side of the school building (cafeteria/gym), not in his/her classroom.

Here are a few other reminders to help the fun run go smoothly:

- No traffic will be allowed down the street leading to the school after 8:50 a.m.  No traffic will be allowed to enter or leave the parking lot during the run.  Parent volunteers and the Draper City Police will help with traffic control.

- There will be no parking allowed along the street leading into the school parking lot, nor along Fort Street south of the school to the city trail.

- Parents are invited to participate.  No rollerblades, bikes or pets are allowed.  Strollers are ok.

- Everyone is encouraged to wear Draper Dragon spirit wear so runners are more easily identifiable.

- The Dragon Dash is non-competitive.  We choose this as our fundraiser to encourage physical exercise and good health.

- We still need more volunteers.  If you would like to help, please contact Brenda Andrewsen, andrewsenb@comcast.net.
