Oct. 14 is fast approaching and we hope you are encouraging your student to work on their Reflections entry. In most grades, this will count as one of the requirements for the Distinguished Dragon Award that students earn throughout the year. Some who are entering the "film" category could even use this same film as an entry into the the district's Film Festival. There are lots of great two for one offers!
On Oct. 14 our great friends, Martha and Gertie, will be collecting entries outside the main doors of the school from 8:10-8:40 a.m. Gertie is known for her big red forehead kisses, but if students do not want a kiss they can get a stamp instead for turning in their entries. If you are not going to be around on Oct. 14 you can turn your entries into the office prior to that. We will not accept any entries after the Oct. 14 deadline.
We are anxious to see how our students have creativity used their art form to depict this year's theme of "Diversity Means..."
If you haven't started - it is not to late. All the Reflection information is on our school website and you will find all the rules/forms that you need right there.

For more than 40 years the National PTA Reflections program has encouraged students to explore their talents through the arts. Every year in Utah about 60,000 students enter the Reflections program. We have expanded the original categories of Music, Photography, Visual Arts and Literature to include four additional categories: Dance, Theatre, 3D and Film and Video. The Reflections program showcases students and demonstrate the importance of a quality arts education. In addition, the Reflections program offers students the opportunity to express themselves and receive positive recognition for their artistic efforts. This year's theme is "Diversity Means..."
Earlier this month, the school emailed out the following required forms:Submissions are due in the office by Oct. 14.
