Nominations are currently open for three parent positions on our School Community Council (SCC). Parents are a key piece of this body which develops our annual school improvement plan, approves the use of state Land Trust funds, and serves as a sounding board for school climate issues. Parents elect parent representatives for a two-year term. To be eligible, a parent must have a student enrolled in the school for at least one of the years and may not be employed by the school for more than an average of six hours per week per month. We invite you to become involved in our Community Council by declaring your candidacy. Nominations will be taken through Sept. 9 and elections will take place the week of Sept. 12-16. Candidacy forms were e-mailed last week to parents and are available in the school office.
