During the 2012-13 school year we will be partnering with Chick-fil-A to help recognize and reward our Draper Dragons.
The first benefit of this partnership will be the monthly Principal's Birthday Lunch Table. Each month Ms. Sorensen will send out a special invitation for all birthday students to join her for lunch in the cafeteria. Students will bring their invitation to the cafeteria and redeem it for a Chick-fil-A four-piece chicken nugget kid's meal. Students will sit with the principal at the Birthday Table to celebrate their birthday. Our first Birthday Table will be Thursday, Sept. 6, for all August and September birthday students in 1st-6th grade. Kindergarten students will have their birthday recognized in a different way due to their daily schedule.
We are also aware there may be a few students who have allergies and may not be able to eat the items in the kid's meal. Please let your teacher know if you have a concern about your child eating the kid's meal for whatever reason. Included in the kid's meal will be four chicken nuggets, a side of fruit, an apple juice and a prize. The waffle fries will not be included due to food guidelines that can't be maintained in the heater bags that the meal will come in.
The second benefit of this partnership will be our four Draper Spirit Nights that will happen quarterly. We invite everyone to visit the South Towne Chick-fil-A on Sept. 25 between 5-7 p.m. where 10% of all sales made during those two hours will be donated to Draper Elementary.
"I think this is an amazing and generous donation from Chick-fil-A and we are only one of five local elementary schools that will receive this partnership benefit," said Ms. Sorensen.
